DAY 1 / ZAGREB
On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Check-in at hotel in Zagreb. Afternoon city tour of Zagreb, including the fortified mediaeval Upper Town, St. Mark’s Church, the Cathedral of St. Stephen, the Stone Gate, the University and the Croatian National Theatre. Dinner and overnight.
DAY 2 / ZAGREB – Excursion to VARAZDIN & TRAKOSCAN CASTLE
Breakfast and departure for Varazdin. Upon arrival sightseeing of the city including the old town with splendid Baroque buildings (City Hall, Cathedral), and the famous Varazdin Cemetery. This is followed by a visit to Trakoscan Castle, former residence of the Draskovic family (the most popular noblemen in the feudal times), nowadays one of Croatia's most beautiful castles and museums with preserved furniture and weapons from the period from the 15th to the 19th century. The castle is a perfect harmony of nature and architecture. It is located on a hill with a garden within a park-forest and it belongs to the cultural and natural monuments of the top cathegory. Return to Zagreb for dinner and overnight.
DAY 3 / ZAGREB – National Park PLITVICE
Breakfast. Departure for Plitvice Lakes, the largest national park in Croatia. The area of Plitvice Lakes was declared a world heritage site in 1979. It is breathtakingly beautiful with its 16 lakes linked by waterfalls and surrounded by dense forests. It will take us at least 4 hours to explore the area by boat and minibus and you will need a great deal of film to record a fraction of the beauty around you. Dinner and overnight in Plitvice area.
DAY 4 / PLITVICE – ZADAR
Breakfast and departure to Zadar. Upon arrival, sightseeing tour including the Roman Forum, St. Donatus Church and the Cathedral of St. Anastasia. Afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight in Zadar.
DAY 5 / ZADAR - ŠIBENIK
Breakfast and departure to Šibenik and visit to the Cathedral of St. Jacob, a masterpiece of the Gothic-Renaissance art, included in the UNESCO’s List of World Cultural Monuments. Dinner and overnight in Solaris/Šibenik.
DAY 6 / ŠIBENIK
Breakfast. Day at leisure. Dinner overnight at the hotel in Solaris settlement.
DAY 7 / ŠIBENIK - SPLIT – TROGIR
Drive towards Split , morning city tour of the Diocletian’s Palace (3rd century) includes the Peristyle, the Cathedral of St. Domnius and the Jupiter’s Temple. Departure to Trogir, a picturesque mediaeval town, which is also included in the UNESCO’s List of World Cultural Heritage. Visit to St. Lawrence Cathedral with its magnificent Romanesque portal dating from the 13th century. Return to Split for dinner and overnight.
DAY 8 / SPLIT – OMIS – STON – DUBROVNIK
Breakfast and departure towards Dubrovnik with a short stop in Omis, a picturesque small middalmatian town situated in the mouth of the river Cetina. It was once a great pirate sanctuary from where they used to attack the passing merchant ships. We shall also visit Mali Ston and its renowned five-kilometre long fortified 15th century city walls and fortresses. The area is known for its salt ponds as well as plentiful oyster and mussels farms. You will have the opportunity to taste sea food straight from these farms, situated directly on the sea. Another possiblity of a stop is Trsteno for an optional visit of its famous Renaissance garden and Arboretum. Dinner and overnight in Dubrovnik.
DAY 9 / DUBROVNIK
Breakfast .Morning sightseeing tour of Dubrovnik includes Franciscan and Dominican Monasteries ,the Rector’s Palace, and the Cathedral. Afternoon at leisure. There will be plenty of time for an optional touring on the city walls with their magnificent fortresses and towers or boat trip around the islands. Dinner and overnight in Dubrovnik.
DAY 10 / DUBROVNIK
Breakfast and check out and free time until transfer to Dubrovnik airport.
